You and your best friend Rocky are on a hike along your favorite trail just outside your hometown. Rocky is a well-trained dog who never wanders but a few feet from your side. But one day he sees a rabbit run across your path and as any many a hound dog will do, Rocky bolts after the rabbit. In seconds you hear a snapping sound like metal on metal and Rocky gives out a painful yelp. You run to him with lightning speed to find that he is caught in a leg-hold trap set by a fur trapper. What do you do?

Would you know what to do if your dog gets caught in a trap?

This video will demonstrate how to release your companion animal from the jaws of a leg-hold trap as well as other types of traps. You will learn tips on how to recognize signs of traps in the area, tools to include in your walking kit in case your best friend becomes entrapped, and why it is so important to keep your dog on a leash.
